I was thrilled to join the WCA Partners Guild this year as a new member because the WCA is an organization that has always held a special place in my heart. I look forward to developing new friendships with everyone involved. I’m excited to offer my time and commitment to supporting the WCA and ensuring we have a successful year of fundraising events.
My husband Paul and I have been married for almost four years, and the nine years we have been together have been the best years of my life. Paul and I were reunited through working together at Union Pacific (UP) Railroad. I held various positions in the Marketing and Sales Department over the course of 10 years and I resigned from UP in 2014 to start a new career in travel advertising at Sojern. I’m currently a Senior Account Manager at Sojern and I lead a team of AMs in developing successful online advertising campaigns for major travel companies, including hotels, online travel agents, airlines and cruise lines. Paul and I do not have a family yet, but we do have two adorable cats that we love.
I originally became involved in supporting the WCA through serving as a Union Pacific-WCA Fundraising Co-Chair. As a Co-Chair at UP, I spent two years (2012-2013) planning and carrying out the company’s fundraising activities in support of the WCA. Our group was successful in raising thousands of dollars in donations, which was a very exciting and rewarding experience.
After resigning from UP, I hoped to continue my involvement with the WCA. To further my contributions, I volunteered last year to gather silent auction prizes for the Guild's tgif! event as a member of the silent auction committee. Now, as a Guild member, I feel very fortunate to work as a team with all of you to help the WCA prosper and carry out its mission of “Helping women and their families Stay Safe….Grow Strong”!
